Dr. David G. Howard is a board Certified Opthalmologist serviing Brown County General Hospital and the surrounding community for over 20 years. The Howard Eye Center offers complete eye care to patients of all ages, including vision screening examinations and diabetic eye evaluations. They also diagnosis and treat glaucoma and cataracts of the eye including surgery.
For patient convenience the Howard Eye Center also carries a full line of standard eyeglasses and contact lenses, as well as the latest in specialty lenses and coatings with a one-year warranty on all products.
Many people are not aware that their medical insurance may cover an examination if they have symptoms such as blurred vision, headaches, eye irritation, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Use of high-risk medication or long term use of medication may also be an indication for an eye exam and may also be covered by insurance.
The American Academy of Ophthalmology reccommends an eye examination every two years fo adults over 40 and once a year for adults over 65. Children should have an examination prior to the start of school, or sooner if there is a history of any eye problems in the family. |
